The first organized Verduin(y)(ij)nen- Van Dui(Y)(ij)nen- and Van Dui(Y)(ij)nen- and Van Dui(Y)(ij)nen-reunion, was held at Bergambacht, where mr, W. van Vliet was the host. The first steps were taken to start a family organization.
When the organized committee checked with the law, it seemed more advantageous to change it to a foundation.
The commission noted that the advantages could not be ignored.
After much talking, an appointment was made with notary Cornelis Hoogervorst in Lisse, to obtain legal recognition of the foundation statues for "Gens-Dunia".
On December 13, 1965 it was finally accomplished. Thanks to the efforts of many Verduyns ( uij, y, etc.), the foundation "Gens-Dunia" was registered by Number st 19.995 in the Public Central registration.
