Prior History

For this we go back to 1931. Hendrik Ary Verduyn, on leave from the tropics,( Sumatra's East Coast and Atjeh, in Indonesia ( Dutch East Indies), took his first scouting steps in the world called Genealogie.
	In 1963, back in the Netherlands, he contacted Wouter Dirk Verduijn, followed up by a meeting and discussion. Not long afterwards appeared a document that had the name "Gens Dunia", (generation of the dunes), on it.
The first organized Verduin(y)(ij)nen- Van Dui(Y)(ij)nen- and Van Dui(Y)(ij)nen- and Van Dui(Y)(ij)nen-reunion, was held at Bergambacht, where mr W.vanVliet was the host. The first steps were taken to start a family organization.
